AHDB showcases British crimson meat in Hong Kong


The Agriculture and Horticulture Growth Board (AHDB) has partnered with skilled cooks in Hong Kong to showcase British crimson meat as a part of a month-long marketing campaign.

British crimson meat can be featured in dishes at main Hong Kong eating places.

The marketing campaign was launched on Friday 1st March 2024 and can run all through March with cooks Saito Chau of Chineseology, Tiff Lo of Jean Could and Adam Catterall of Roganic creating beef, pork and cheese dishes to supply to diners through the month.

Every of the cooks have created unique dishes to showcase the standard, selection and flexibility of British crimson meat and dairy merchandise, together with Tossed Ox Tongue Spicy Sichuan Sauce, Scotch Egg Piccalilli and Tunworth Cheese, Alpine Plum, Buckwheat Crumb and Lemon Thyme.

Jonathan Eckley, AHDB head of worldwide commerce growth, mentioned: “AHDB evaluation has proven pork and beef consumption in Hong Kong to be amongst a number of the highest in Asia. As with dairy, the foodservice and high-end retail sectors current alternatives for premium cuts of pork and beef.

“Coupled with customers’ excessive regard for meals security and high quality in Hong Kong and the broader Asia area, UK producers are effectively positioned to capitalise on this demand. The marketing campaign will assist cement the UK’s repute as a producer of high-quality sustainably produced crimson meat and dairy produce.”
