Brandon Police Service examine Bear Mace Incident


On April 11, 2023, police responded to a report of a theft at a enterprise within the 1500
block of 18th avenue. The suspect sprayed an worker with bear mace and fled with a
new IPhone. Two different staff tried to chase the suspect, however they too had been
sprayed. The mace contaminated a big space of the enterprise, which was then closed to
permit the substance to subside. No different people had been sprayed immediately, however many
felt the results of the spray, and had been attended to on scene by members of BFES.

The suspect is described as a male, roughly 6 ft, sporting a black ‘kangol’ fashion
hat turned backwards, a free crimson hoodie/jacket with “Canada” throughout the chest, with
baggie black pants and black loafers with a white sole.

Police proceed to analyze.
